An innovative project by 1st Winchester won 3rd place in the national Scouting for All awards last weekend at Warwick University. See the video below to see what the Scouting Plus project is all about.
Online Scout Manager (what you might know as “My Scout”) has teamed up with Go Outdoors to offer 10% off EVERYTHING to scout parents – in addition to any other discounts.
And if you’re a leader, it’s even better! It’s 15% off!
Take this ticket with you to the store or use the promotion code online.
Thanks everyone for a really great response to our efforts to get our Subscriptions right. As you will appreciate, subs are a critical income for us as they pay for vital things such as:
- Membership of the Scout Association
- Insurance (against accidents and other things)
- Services at District, County and National levels
- Leader Training
We pay this out for every child, whether or not they have paid their subs. So when we get 95% of subs in, it really gives us some spare cash to pay for other things like replacement equipment, new equipment, courses to run new activities, etc.
So thanks again. We all appreciate your efforts.
For £5 you can Name a Horse at our Night at the Races on 5th September after the Littleton and Harestock Show. This is how you do it….
It is easy to hire 1st Place. Use the menu bar to find “Booking 1st Place”.
Voters chose 1st Place as the new name for the Scout HQ. It will be officially named at the Grand Opening on Thursday 22nd Jan. In time we will have a plaque designed and put on the front of the building.
Rock and Roll Bingo Night – Saturday 21st March, 7.30pm. Part music quiz, part bingo – a whole load of fun! For more information and to book tickets (only £5) please email email@example.com
Our new building (it’s definitely not a hut anymore!) will be open after half term. It still won’t have a vinyl floor because the concrete isn’t yet ready to allow the floor to stick to it. But that won’t stop everyone getting settled in and having fun!
Unfortunately the bowling for Tues 21st Oct has had to be cancelled. We didn’t manage to get enough adults to reach the minimum required to be safe. See you all after half-term when we’ll be in the new building!
